What is about a tragic hero that enraptures a reader to fall irrevocably in love with him? Maybe it is the humanly way in which they hurt and feel just like the audience, or the fact that we vicariously live just a little bit through that character. Or, it could be that the innate way the protagonist handles any situation is just plainly bizarre. For instance the anti-hero of all hero’s (my opinion) Wuthering Heights’ Heathcliff. Many debate whether the anti-hero title really fits, or that he was just an insane character who is cold heartedly evil.
