ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSLATION OF THE BOOK "THE LAMPLIGHTER"
1. RESEARCH QUESTION
 What translation techniques proposed by Vinay and Darbelnet, are more employed and what other relevant changes presents the translation of Angel Hidalgo Belloso in the first three chapters of the book "The Lamplighter" by Maria Susanna Cummins?
2. OBJECTIVES:
2.1 GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
 Analyze which translation techniques proposed by Vinay and Darbelnet, are more employed in the first three chapters in the translation of Angel Hidalgo Belloso of the book "The Lamplighter" by Maria Susana Cummins.
2.2 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
 Identify the number of sentences in both the source and the target text.

Sample: The sample of the investigation is made up of 10 pages of the source text of the Maria Susanna Cummins’s book "The Lamplighter" and 10 pages of the target text of the book “El Farolero” translated by Angel Hidalgo Belloso.
Time: The time that will be used for the transcript of both texts will be 3 hour along 4 days. Each day will be transcribed one chapter (the first of the source text and the first of target text) and the last day will make all the analysis and respective conclusions.
3. INSTRUMENT AND TECHNIQUE
3.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTRUMENT
The instrument consists of the use of the symbols and the underlined to identify the use of omission, addition and synonyms in the target text. This technique used as instrument was chosen based on the technique used in classes to identify the same type of texts.
3.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE INSTRUMENT
This instrument has as objective to facilitate the analysis of the words or sentences in the target text, the book “El Farolero” by Angel Hidalgo Belloso comparing with the original book "The Lamplighter" by Maria Susanna Cummins.
3.3 CRITERION OF EVALUATION
The Criterion of evaluation that will be used once that all the words or sentences of the three chapters have been identified through symbols; it will based on in the next parameters:
