Abstract

This literary research aims to report the forms of domestic violence against children and adolescents and the methodologies of care for families developed by social services. And the role of social workers confront this troubling reality and the means of dealing with this problem that affects thousands of children and adolescents in our country. Domestic violence is considered a serious problem in brazil, affecting children of all social classes. Is present in rural and urban areas.The discussion about domestic violence against the child population has been the target of heated debates in modern society. However it is not a feature issue of our time, because throughout the history of Brazil through education transmitted by adults to children and teens can see that violence was always present. the professional practice of social workers with families follows the history of the profession, which leads them to seek ways to care more efficient and effective. Importantly, in all preventive work should not lose sight of the need to establish Networks that actually represent national coalitions, coordinating efforts and sharing financial resources. it is observed that interventions provide a decrease in the intensity of the violence, home visits contributes to this reduction interventions with these families can have satisfactory results, since violence can be understood in its various aspects, ie a symptom present
