With the completion of the study in question, I conclude that there is need for provision of resources for the early diagnosis and treatment, skilled multidisciplinary team to ensure adherence to the treatment of individuals and / or HIV-positive pregnant women, it is necessary for their reintegration with the family and society is the least traumatic as possible. The present study was to gain new knowledge for the lay public on the subject, as well as for professionals working in the care of patients suffering from an STD, allowing sustainability of the humane and dignified care. Keywords: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) - Assistance to pregnant HIV-positive - the role of the nurse in prenatal care.
