This is a descriptive observational retrospective held during the first quarter of 2011. In this study a questionnaire was applied where it is present all patient data and the results obtained in the laboratory. The study used a qualitative analysis and the technique used was the survey (Annex 1) which consisted of 19 simple questions about basic aspects of sanitation and hygiene practices which apply to a population of 21 families with children under 5 years EDAs recidivists. It was concluded that basic sanitation and hygiene practices influence the occurrence of ADD in children under 5 years in the jurisdiction of the Health Center José Quiñones.
