ABSTRAC
Acute diarrheal diseases (ADD) are infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites, affecting mainly children under five.
According to WHO: 3 or more liquid consistency stools in 24 h or 1 single with mucus and blood.
Worldwide cause 4.6 million child deaths annually, of which 70% occur from dehydration, more frequent and serious complication of the disease an average. The diarrheas tend to occur frequently in the summer season.
The IRAS according to reports from the World Health Organization (WHO), the IRAS cause the death of 4.3 million children under 5, representing 30% of total annual deaths of children in this age group. The main etiological agents are Streptococcus pneumoniae: the most common cause of bacterial pneumonia in children; Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib): the second most common cause of bacterial pneumonia; and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common cause of viral pneumonia especially in younger children. Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is formed by a group of diseases that fact in our country is increased relative to the temperature drop. Although the cold, in itself, is not the cause of this disease, there are habits and behaviors related to cold temperatures that increase the risk of disease.
