Solving this case study will allow its target audience to: acquire knowledge and develop skills to understand Starbucks’ business model and strategic orientation; identify the key factors that have sustained a successful chain like Starbucks, enabling the global expansion of the company; assess the adequacy of these key factors to the Portuguese case, in the entry and expansion of the Starbucks business model; perceive the implications in the medium term that may arise from the current business model, strategy and other elements according to the possible evolution of consumption patterns (the evolution of clients in both global and national levels).
