Pôde-se perceber que um aspecto importante para o controle da poluição é o esclarecimento e a educação da população. Somente uma sociedade civil amplamente organizada e informada será capaz de exercer uma fiscalização ambiental sistemática, exigindo a criação e, principalmente, o cumprimento de leis ecológicas eficientes.

This thesis was about the problems caused by humanity to the natural environment, the paths to be plotted and perspectives on present and future life. We conducted a theoretical approach with respect to the impact of humans on the environment, with regard to environmental pollution, air pollution, water pollution and soil, deforestation, introduction of exotic species and species extinction. Brought, based on the literature, some ideas held by humanity itself through paths and perspectives, especially with regard to energy alternatives that generate wealth for the world, however large, without causing serious damage to the environment on a planetary scale. Among these alternatives are hydropower, nuclear energy, the use of renewable fuels such as biodiesel based on rapeseed and palm oil, solar and wind power.
